It’s always a nice moment when your work arrives in the mail published in a book or literary journal. I just received my two author’s copies of the July 2016 issue of Red Earth Review, which includes my short fiction story “Capture the Moon.” The story chronicles one young man’s hike up a mountain in the snow as he attempts to get a perfect photograph of the full moon rising above the mountains on the other side of the valley. What he discovers on the mountain is something entirely different.
The issue is packed with fiction, poetry, and creative nonfiction, and I look forward to reading the other writers’ work.
