The director of the Solstice MFA Program in Creative Writing, Meg Kearney, is the author of a new picture book titled TROUPER. Based on the true story of Meg’s real-life dog, the book chronicles the story of a three-legged dog in a shelter in Puerto Rico who eventually finds his forever home. Illustrations are by E.B. Lewis.
Not surprisingly to those of us who know Meg and her work, TROUPER was recently named one of “12 Best New Children’s Picture Books.” As an animal lover and a fan of shelter adoptions, I can’t wait to receive my copy.
