I just learned that my short story “Capture the Moon” has been accepted for publication by Red Earth Review, a literary magazine published by the Red Earth MFA program at Oklahoma City University. The story will appear in Volume 4 of the journal, which is scheduled for publication in July.
Many thanks to the editors for their interest in my work, and to four friends who helped me with my research for the story: Jim Kennedy, Leo Hannenberg, Dave Jilk, and Jackson Carson. “Capture the Moon” takes place in a small mountain town in an unnamed state, with the bulk of the action occurring during a late-night hike. I won’t say more than that…but it’s a thrill to have the story accepted.
