First things first: I hope everyone is continuing to stay safe and well during these challenging times. The light appears to be at the end of the tunnel. Let’s keep on keepin’ on until we all get through this together.
A New Publication
In the meantime, I’ve had two nice bits of publication news this week. First, a very short flash creative nonfiction essay I wrote has just been published in the cool literary journal, pioneertown. You can read my piece here, and don’t forget to check out the work of the other writers. I’m honored to be published in this “literary journal that excites and ignites.”
By the way, it won’t take long to read the piece…my bio is longer than the essay (maybe I should have shortened that up).
Third Children’s Book Coming Soon
The second piece of news is also exciting: we now have a publication date for my third children’s book, FRAZIER: THE ONE-EYED CAT. Frazier will hit bookstore shelves on October 29, 2021, National Cat Day. As with the first two books, Frazier is illustrated by Laurel McKinstry Petersen, edited by MaryChris Bradley, and published by Writer’s Coffee Bar Press. I can’t wait to share it with the world.
I donate a portion of the proceeds from all of my children’s books to non-profit animal rescue organizations.
