My essay “The Deer” has just been published in Eleven Eleven, a biannual journal of literature and art produced by the MFA Program in Writing of the California College of the Arts, and other members of the college’s community. According to their website, “The aim of the publication is to provide a forum for risk and experimentation and to serve as an exchange between writers and artists.”
The latest issue is available here and includes poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction by a variety of writers. My thanks go out to faculty editor and poet Hugh Behm-Steinberg and to the entire staff of the publication.
I wrote “The Deer” during my very first semester as an MFA student, and it is close to my heart. Thank you, Eleven Eleven, for publishing it.
