Just a quick note about two new personal essays that have been accepted by publications.
My very short flash essay “Swallow” has been published in the online literary journal pioneertown. You can read the essay here (my bio is longer than the essay!).
I also just learned that a personal essay I wrote has been accepted into an anthology about the impact of the pop singer Madonna on people’s lives. I wrote the essay last September in answer to a call for submissions. The anthology is being edited by yeeAnn Tooker and Heather Thurman, and a portion of the proceeds will go to the non-profit organization “Raising Malawi,” which was founded by Madonna.
