On St. Nicholas Day, children at a special center in Ukraine received copies of Toys at Night, my latest children’s book collaboration with European artist extraordinaire Anya Lauchlan. The books came with Ukrainian translations — and the toys that originally inspired the fables.
Anya and I developed this project specifically to help the children of Ukraine, and Anya and her husband Peter arranged for this secret and special delivery.
A portion of the U.K. proceeds from the book have been donated to charities in the U.K. — and from the only U.S. copies available (directly from me) to organizations helping animals and their people in Ukraine and other war-torn nations.
